Where we come to you

We bring the cloth, the bunch books and the tape to your hotel, office or home, anywhere in Bangkok — measuring, fittings and the finished garment, all of it where you already are. Part of ourbespoke tailoring in Bangkok.

The three places we usually end up

Your hotel
The most common one, and the one that saves the most time. We come to the lobby or to the room, whichever you prefer, at a time that fits around the rest of a trip rather than around opening hours.
Your office
Between meetings, or at the end of a day. A first appointment takes about an hour for a suit and less for shirts, and a later fitting is shorter than that.
Your home
Anywhere in Bangkok. This is the usual arrangement for customers who live here and order more than once, because the measurements are already on file.

What happens once we are there is the same in all three, and it is set out on how a fitting works.

What we bring with us

Suiting bunches - the cloth is chosen with you, by hand.
Suiting bunches - the cloth is chosen with you, by hand.
  • Bunch books, so the cloth is chosen in your light rather than ours
  • The tape, and a note of your posture alongside the measurements
  • An honest answer about what a cloth will do in this climate, including when it is the wrong one
  • At a later visit, the garment itself — half-made at the basted stage, finished at the last

More on what you are choosing between incloth and construction.

And how the finished garment reaches you

The same way. We bring it. This is the part customers write about most often and it is worth saying plainly: the last trip across the city is ours, not yours, and the garment arrives at the time that was agreed.

If you have already flown home by then, say so while you are still here — reordering and shipping from abroad is a different arrangement and it works better when it is planned rather than improvised.

Where in Bangkok

All Bangkok - fittings at the customer's hotel, office or residence. The districts we are asked for most often:

  • Sukhumvit
  • Silom and Sathorn
  • Phaya Thai
  • Riverside and Bang Rak

If yours is not on that list it is not an exclusion — the answer is simply all of Bangkok. Ask when you call.

When we come

We are open 09:00-21:00 daily, and for a service that travels that is the number that matters rather than a shop's closing time. An appointment at eight in the evening is an ordinary one: after work, after the day's meetings, after whatever the reason for the suit was.

  • Early, before a day starts moving
  • The middle of the day, at an office
  • Late, which is when most hotel appointments actually happen

Traffic decides more of this than we would like, so we agree a time and then keep it rather than giving you a window.

Groups, and wedding parties

A group is the case where coming to you stops being a convenience and starts being the only sensible arrangement. Thirteen groomsmen do not travel across Bangkok together twice; one tailor travels to them.

Measurements are still taken one person at a time, and the cloth is chosen once for the whole party so the colour holds across every garment — that consistency is harder than it sounds and it is the thing that goes wrong when a party is measured over several visits. More onwedding suits.

Why we work this way

A fitting is twenty minutes of work and, in this city, an hour of traffic either side of it. Moving the appointment instead of moving you is the difference between a garment that takes three visits and a trip that loses three half-days to them.

It also changes what gets decided. Cloth chosen in the room you will wear it in, a jacket tried on with your own shoes and your own shirt to hand — those are better decisions than the same ones made in a fitting room, and they cost nothing extra to make.

Practical questions

Do you charge to come to me?
Coming to you is how we work rather than an add-on, anywhere in Bangkok. What the garment itself costs is a conversation to have on the phone before anything is arranged.
How much notice do you need?
Call and say when you are free. If you are visiting, give us your departure date in the same conversation — it decides what is possible before any cloth is cut, and it is better said at the start than discovered at the end.
What do you bring?
Bunch books, cloth, the tape and a notebook. You see the cloth in the light of the room you will actually be wearing it out of, which is not the same as seeing it under a shop lamp.
Can someone else be there?
Yes. Groomsmen, a partner, colleagues ordering together — a group is easier at your place than at anyone else’s, and the measurements are taken one at a time either way.
How does the finished garment reach me?
We bring it to you. That is the part of this our customers write about most often: the suit arriving at the hotel at the agreed time rather than the customer crossing the city to collect it.
