What happens after you call

1. I. Tell us where and whenA hotel, an office, a home — anywhere in Bangkok. Say what you are thinking of having made and roughly when you need it, including your departure date if you are visiting.
2. II. We come to youWith cloth, bunch books and the tape. The first appointment takes about an hour for a suit, less for shirts, and nothing is ordered until you have seen the cloth in your own light.
3. III. Fittings, where you areWe come back for each one rather than asking you to cross the city. A suit is tried at the basted stage, corrected, then finished.
4. IV. Delivered, and kept on fileThe finished garment comes to you, and your pattern stays with us so a later order needs no new appointment.

What to have ready

None of this is required, and all of it makes the first appointment shorter.

• Your dates — especially the day you fly, if you are visiting
• What the garment is for: work, a wedding, black tie, somewhere cold
• A garment you already like the fit of, if one exists
• The shoes you will wear with it, for trouser length

Before you book, if you are comparing

It is a reasonable thing to do and we would rather you did it properly. Three questions separate tailors in this city faster than price does:

• How is the jacket constructed — full canvas, half canvas or fused?
• How many fittings are included, and is one of them on a basted shell?
• Is the pattern drafted for me, or adjusted from a stock block?
